What This Course Is About:
This AHA Heartsaver certification course will provide participants with the skills necessary to provide first aid for most “emergencies.” Medical emergencies don’t occur every day, but when they do, prior training can help you deal with these situations. Includes pediatric first aid. Recommended renewal for this course is every two years.
What You’ll Learn:
Respond to medical emergencies like choking, allergic reactions, heart attacks, and seizures
Treat injuries including bleeding, burns, fractures, and head/spine trauma
Manage environmental emergencies such as bites, heat/cold exposure, and poisoning
Apply first aid basics, safety protocols, and legal considerations
Practice hands-on skills like glove removal, epinephrine use, and bandaging
