MN Permit to Carry Pistol Certification

This Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA)-approved course provides the essential training required to obtain your Minnesota Permit to Carry a handgun. Whether you’re seeking certification or simply want to build confidence and knowledge around handgun use, this class delivers a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience.

Location:

Prerequisites:

You must be 21 years of age or older if you want to obtain your permit. Participants 16 or older can take the class as a safety course (16-20 are not eligible for a permit to carry).

Participants under 18 must have a parent/guardian with them the whole day as an observer.

Participants will need at least 50 rounds of factory new ammunition for the certification/refresher course and 50 rounds. (9mm if renting a handgun)

Hearing and wrap-around eye protection.

If you do not have a handgun, a rental handgun can be made available for $5.00 (participants provide ammunition). Add the Handgun Rental to your cart before check out.

What This Course Is About:

Handgun basics including care and maintenance
