What This Course Is About:

This Use of Force Training course provides peace officers with realistic, scenario-driven instruction designed to reinforce lawful, ethical, and effective use-of-force decision-making. Officers participate in hands-on, reality-based training that mirrors real-world encounters and requires critical thinking under pressure.

Through whole-task clinical scenarios, officers integrate verbal commands, de-escalation strategies, defensive tactics, intermediate weapons, and deadly force—when legally justified—in alignment with Minnesota statutes and agency policy.
